My Summer Hot List

"Don't you just love summer? From the warm rays on your back to vibrantly colored mani-pedis and backyard barbecues with family and friends, the warm months always usher in some of the best times of the year. With all that's going on in the world, why don't carve out some space to enjoy simple pleasures and embrace the ones who mean the most to us?" Angela Burt-Murray

Here are 11 things I plan to enjoy this summer:

1. Crisp white summer Guess dress w/ the Guess necklace set with my Bebe Gladiator sandals.

2. A pedicure. I usually like to keep it unique but not too crazy. I love the bright bold white or I'll do a classy french.

3. Going to the Jersey Garden Mall and Cheesecake Factory in NJ with my bff, Zonnie. We still haven't walked the whole mall yet. So HUGE!

4. Barbecue and Slip N' Slide with the family! I always love watching my kids playing on the water slide. I might join in this year.

5. Going to one of Raheem Devaughn's concert, Jazz concert (in Bmore) or Frankie Beverly and Maze performances with the husband would be really nice.
6. Dips at the pool in my sister's apartment complex. I hope she put me on the list, lol.

7. Nighttime family trips to get ice cream from Friendly's.

8. Drive up to Sesame Place water park for the kids. Even though it's really for my husband and I.

9. Get a new color eyeshadow palette from M.A.C

A color I don't have yet. Yellow. A pigment will also be purchased.

10. Old Mills Restaurant in MD with my bff, Zonnie! All you can eat seafood! Crabs, shrimp, oysters, clams, more crabs, more crabs, and shrimp. Eat until you see the light!

11. I love the BEACH! Being on the boardwalk is a priceless experiences. The smell of funnel cakes, candy apples, ice cream, boardwalk fries w/ vinegar and pizza does wonders for me. Watching my children get on the rides is fun. Competing with the Mr. on the water gun game is hilarious! We always draw a crowd when we play.

Sometimes it's easy to lose sight of our many blessings. So this summer I'm showing my appreciation for having a great family and good friends and turning 33!

What about you? Think about what you're most looking forward to.
