Weigh In

Hey guys. Sorry, no pic this time, but please believe me when I say I'm now 200lbs. So I'm down 3lbs. Yahhh, could be better, but I can't complain. I'm almost out of the 200's! We need to have a party, cake, ice cream, pizza, hot wings, see that's what got my butt in this situation now, lol! I really haven't updated my other blogs. Please be patience. Life is getting a bit rough and busy.
However, trust and believe God with all your heart that He's working everything out on your behalf no matter how bad it may seem. You will get through this in Christ Jesus.
Til then, one love!

Life/Weigh In

So sorry guys. Life has been extremely busy and a lil hectic but not in a bad way. Internet is down, so I'm over parents place to say "hi" to you all.
All is well over here. Just doing the wifey, mommy thing. Trying to bring in extra money with this new job I have. I worked 3rd shift. Didn't want to but that's all they had. A lot of Haitians work there and the Haitian men are sooo flirtatious that it is ridiculous! I told them that I was married, but they just don't care. Come to find out one of them has a wife back in Haiti! Oh come on!!! I told my hubby several stories and we both be bagging up laughing. Saying things what I should have done or said. But honestly, one guy took it a little too far. But this one is Puerto Rican has been all in my face since I started. He tried to hug me and I kinda sorta hug, but my arms never did touch him. You know those kind of hugs where you don't embrace. Well we were walking and he tried to hug and as he did, his hand nonaccidently embraced my butt with a light squeeze. Now I'm pissed. I pushed him in his chest. He begged for my forgiveness the best he could since he barley spoke English. I told him next time I will slap him hard and report it.

Well, my weigh in for this week..Monday morning is 203. So I'm down a good 6lbs thanks to my job. I'm almost out of the 200's!

Miss you guys soooo much. Love you all, and I'm still alive, lol!

Weigh In

Look at that! I lost a whole whopping pound! I better slow down, I'll be wearing a 9/10 in a wink of an eye!
Honestly, that's good. Your girl over here was pigging out after I declared the Fatbusters program on blog. Ate so much that I was up to 215lbs. When I saw that, I panicked. How could I face blog world with the 5lbs gained?! So the last several days I cut out a lot (no too much). Went walking and drank water. So this morning I was scared and anxious about the weigh in. To my surprise I lost a pound from my start weight. I'm ok, hey I went down, right? Again, I will be doing the 3 day diet. Hopefully that will shed some pounds off quick b4 the wedding.
Sorry it took long posting. I had a job interview. It went well.
Enjoy your day!

Weigh in tommorrow.
I'm so not ready. I didn't even post a pic...I'm sure you know how I'm feeling.
Why did I start this foolishness?! I could back out, but I can't. When I start something, I finish it. DANG!!!!!
Alright, I'll confess now. Did pretty bad. Been overwhelmed because I care for my 90yr. old grandmother. It's not a glamorous job at all! Basically I'm the nurse. I bet you guys are saying, "what does that has to do with her losing weight." You are right, it has nothing to do with it.
However, lol, hubby and I have a wedding go to in NY. There is this blouse I want to fit in and I pray that I do. It's very pretty. So I'm going to do the 3 day diet 2morrow. I wanna look nice for this event.
I'll be back in 8-9 hours to report what the scale says, ohhhh noooooo!

HOW TO STAY YOUNG

1. Try everything twice. On one woman's tombstone she said she wanted this epitaph:"Tried everything twice.loved it both times!"

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.(Keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches!)

3. Keep learning: Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever.. Never let the brain get idle. 'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.' And the devil's name is Alzheimer's!

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud.Laugh until you gasp for breath. And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with HIM/HER.

6. The tears happen: Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. LIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love:Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county, to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity. I love you, my special friend..

11. Forgive now those who made you cry. You might not get a second chance. Do share this with someone. Remember! Lost time can never be found.

Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Several Dating Tips

Pick The Right Questions

Instead of asking a man how he makes a paycheck, ask him what his passion is. Instead of asking him where he’s from, ask him about the best place he ever lived. Being nosy is intrusive, but being inquisitive shows that you’re interested and interesting.

Check Out A Lock And Key Party
You’re guaranteed to meet many eligible men at these events, at which every woman gets a locket and every guy gets a key. Mingling is inevitable because the goal of the gathering is to discover whose key fits into your lock. Find a party in your area at lockandkeyevents.com. “For just $15 to $45 you get a party experience with music, food, drinks and really cute guys,” says Tosin Ola, aka Vixen, the woman behind The Bad Girls Guide blog (vixentales.blogspot.com)

Plan The Second Date

How’s this: “Isn’t this merlot amazing? You know, there’s a wine tasting in my neighborhood next Wednesday night; we should check it out.” That didn’t sound too bad, did it? “There’s nothing wrong with showing your interest in moving beyond now,” says Morley-Ball, who is also the author of Seeds for the Harvest of a Lifetime (Author House). Why leave Date No. 2 to chance when you can clinch it there and then?

Where Are You!

Is it just me, or have you ever lost a blogger and can't find them to save your life?
This has been happening to me lately all due to laziness. It only takes one click of the button to save the blogger or add them as a favorite. What's the problem?! This one particular girl left a comment and I went to her blog. Needless to say, I loved it and forgot to bookmark her. Well, several days pass by and I wanted to check out her blog again. I forgot her blog, site, where I saw her, etc... So now I'm in panic mode. I really want to follow her journey and now due to laziness again, I lost her. Now I'm on all of my blog roll trying to see if I recognize her name anywhere, somewhere, somebody HELP! I'm searching far and wide. I even put her name in the GOOGLE search hoping it will find her.

How many times will I put myself through this unnecessary drama? I've been blogging since 07 and I still find myself making the same mistake. She is not the only one I have lost.
Matter of fact, I'm still looking for this other blogger who's into fashion. I followed her for a while, but then life got busy. Forgot to bookmark her. I can't recall her name or anything! I bet she's wondering what happen to me?

Guess what. I was reading over certain material on the Single or Married Blog and decided to look at some of the old comments. Then the last comment I looked at appears to be the girl who I have been looking for....is this her? So I click and viola! It's her! Kemi! All that time she was right under my nose on my blog! Don't I feel smart. You know what I did! Matter of fact, I put her on the blog roll with my other favorites.

I guess this is a start to being organized with the new bloggers I run into and want to keep.

Fatbusters Week 1

Ok so this is my start weight ladies and gents 210.4. I apologize for the glare but it does say what it says, lol.
This weekend I have been munching since I knew I'll be doing the whole eating right, but I did lose 2lbs from last week.
I'm thinking about doing the jump start of the 3 day diet (read last post) but I'm not sure. It's a bit strict.
Again, I'll be weighing in every Monday. So this week I will try and kick butt! I will push myself to exercise very day for at least 30 mins. No sweets/sodas for me! Straight water or Crystal Light. I will try and do more fruits and veggies then usual. May the games begin!

Blogville Fatbusters Part II

So enough is enough. I have lost focus and I need to get it back. I need some serious motivation. Remember I said I was going hard with the diet. Well, needless to say I lied. Remember I told you guys that my last weigh in was 212lbs....guess what, I got down to 201lbs and was feeling great! I don't recall what triggered my taste buds, but I went on a feeding frenzy! Now I'm back up to 210lbs! Pissed! It's all my fault!

So I found this biggest loser blog couple of weeks ago http://blogsvillefatbusters.blogspot.com/ and I think it will be a great motivator. I asked to be a part of the competition several times, but I guess she is too busy or haven't read my comments, dunno. Anywho, I can wait any longer, henceforth I'm doing my own and if anyone wants to join, please feel free, be my guest. The more the merrier, right?!

For this, there are no rules...I take that back: lol..

  • You must eat healthy because it's about incorporating a healthy way of living
  • Weigh in once a week and post the picture of scale to verify
  • Try and exercise 30mins a day or do a simple walk
  • Don't over do it
  • Have fun!

Helpful hints:

*Weigh yourself 1st thing in the morning

I will be starting on Monday, June 8, 2009. So Monday morning you all will see what I weigh and then every Monday I will report. I'm using blog world as my own personal journal for this weight lost.

Yes I do plan on taking before and after pics! That will be fun and I encourage for others to do so. Just let me know if you are game (whoever whats to join).

Final Weigh In
Will be 4 weeks from now
July 5, 2009
Post a pic of the what the scale says and post a before/after pic
Even if I'm doing this by myself, it's all good. That should make me work harder, lol since I feel like the world is now watching me!

You can lose 5-10lbs on this diet. It's good for a jump start. See I'm trying to help you already!

3 Day Diet Meal Plan:

In addition to its strict daily food prescription, dieters drink 4 cups of water or noncaloric drinks daily.
How It Works
By some unspecified magical force, the combination of the suggested foods included in this plan is supposed to create a unique metabolic reaction and boost fat burning.
Without an author or book, there is no documentation or explanation of how the 3 Day Diet food combinations burn fat, increase energy, cleanse the body, or lower cholesterol.
As the name suggests, the 3 Day Diet lasts only three days, though it's said that it can be repeated indefinitely, as long as you alternate with 4-5 days of undefined "normal eating." The purpose of returning to your usual eating style is to keep your metabolism from slowing, reverting to fat-storing, starvation mode.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

Been tagged! 5 Nail Colors for Summer

Been tagged with nail color from YNC!

"List/Show 5 nail colors you love best this Summer and take a sexy picture on your blog with your manicured nails "Do it yourself, it doesn't have to be the professional, you can do it, if I can do it myself."

I have gotten a pedicure Friday, so maybe next time I'll do it myself. Sorry, wasn't trying to cheat. As you all can see I got the french with the cotton candy color. Subtle, classy, yet pretty.

5 TOP NAIL SUMMER COLORS
Cotton Candy
White
Pure Ice Scandal
Bronze
Mango Orange

So I don't have or know the brand name to all of them. But the Pure Ice Scandal is from Pure Ice and I got it from Walmart. The cotton candy (iridescent color) is from Sally's Beauty Supply Store (paid no more then $3), and rest of the colors were from the Asian Beauty Store and I paid .99 cents for all of them.

Sorry I couldn't post the pics of them. I don't know where all of my polishes are since I moved back with Mr.

My nail color is the same, cotton candy. You can't see it well, but I need a fill. Yes, I had to show you all the ring the Mr. brought me when we got back together, lol.

What are you top 5 Summer nail colors?! Let us know!

You been to one, you been to them all. I say this about lounges, clubs and the like. Went to a wonderful bridal shower this weekend and had tons of fun. Afterward the bride to be was letting us ladies know that we are going out to some club in NY for her bachorette party. Honestly, I really didn't want to go. Clubing for me ended in college. I would have been content watching the movie and her aunts play bingo. Bride to be demanded that I go because it was her night, her last night, lol. Ok, so now I'm excited because I did always wanted to go to a club in NY. You seen it on t.v., beautiful dressed people everywhere having fun at the party/lounge/club. VIP room is only for the exclusives. Even you might see a celeb or two. You know, the HYPE of being in NY is good enough for me. I couldn't wait to rate the ladies at the lounge on hair, clothes, shoes and accessories (you know you do that too, lol), and the brothers! I wanna see how these New Yorkers do it up close and personal!
No, I don't do clubs like that, but hey, this is a once in a lifetime for me, after all I'm in NY, right...let's do it big.

So we got dressed. The girls were teasing me saying I was overdressed. I was a little puzzled cuz I'm thinking, "heck, that's how yall New Yorkers do, right? Got in the club. Music was pumping, ladies were dancing harder then the men, the bouncer had huge muscles and we were checking out our surroundings. There was another group there that was at her shower, so we pretty much were all dancing, talking (more like yelling), and hanging together.
I'm observing and I'm thinking, "ok, so what's the hype about?" "Where is the hype?" It really wasn't even crowed either...so I'm a bit confused, lol. Oh well. We did get a VIP room upstairs for the bride to be and I felt like that was the best part. We were able to dance and act like fools without anyone looking at us crazy. I started to get on the marble coffee table and dance, but with my 200lb self, I didn't think that was a good idea. Looking over the dancing crowd from upstairs was really cool.
Later the waitress brought up this cake for the group. I didn't want any because I had several servings of cake that day. It was my daughter's 12th birthday plus the bridal shower cake, so I'm good, right. One of the girls asked if I wanted any and I said no. She asked was I sure because it's Cake Man's Famous Red Velvet from NY. I always wanted to try his cake. I have seen him on tv and heard about how good his red velvet cake. Ladies and Gents, I tried the cake. It was beyond good. So good that I wanted to save a piece for my hubby. I was even looking for something to wrap up the cake in....foil someone? Ghetto!

Well to my surprise that lounge was no different then ones I been to in the past. The bride did say that she wanted to take us to any upscale club in NY. I'm going to hold her to it and when we go, you guys will get the 411 from me.
